Fraser - great to see you're standing for Otago - and Steve in CSI. We need people that stand up and be counted when the pressure comes on.

Yes finally changes occurring in the CSI - not before time, still more needs to be done, I'd suggest all the old councilors that supported the former leader should move on too, they have had their time, it's notable too that none of the last intake of councilors have hung around, says it all really. So hopefully voters take the opportunity and vote in a completely new council, a clean sweep would allow the new council to find it's own way without the bias encumbrance of the old guard.

By really it all gets back to the state of the fisheries, they are in crisis in the lowlands, and the salmon fishery teetering on the brink, vote in a new council!

Here here Steve! I know there was reluctance from some of the long standing council members to make broad changes. The times are a changing and the council needs to move with the people that access the fishery.

When you think about it, in a relatively short time the fishery has moved from mostly a common food resource into a true sports fishery and unfortunately in a lot of instances the regs haven't moved with that.

I know our club is a very small slice of the pie, but all our members support even more dramatic changes to the regs in order to protect our fishery, as well as increased licence fees if it assists in improving our fishery.

Good luck fella's.

We really need guys we can count on for the future.

Was reading an interesting article about dairy farmers wanting to stand and be elected.

With the Audit happening at CSI, the likes of, Matthew Hall, Daniel Isbiter, Bill Whipp and Linn Koevoet should not be running again for council

Unfortunately they all are.

These 4 should have not re-applied to run again and should have taken the easy way out, like Rooney.

They are all "Old Wood" metaphorically and literally, and should stand down and allow Fresh faces to fix the problems that they have allowed to happen on their watch.

It's a shame that they can't see that they were as bad as Rooney, by not standing up against him.
