Trouble at the office?

Post by Andy W » Tue Aug 28, 2018 7:53 am

Audit into the financial affairs at NCF&G underway: https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/arti ... d=12113424. Hopefully all will be present and correct.

The one thing I do find strange, is that this hasn't surfaced in the local media.

Interesting...

Are there wider issues within North Cant F and G?

Pity that the likes of the CSI ( which give me the impression of being corrupt) and now possibly Nth Cant are tarnishing the overall image. They need to be reminded where their income is sourced from and what the goal of their business is and stop some of this self serving crap.... very distracting from their core business.

I have to say that the Nel - Marl F and G are very very good. Been very impressed with their work In the past few years.

That's not good news? Lets hope that the investigation finds no wrong doing and it turns out to be a storm in a teacup?

And it's not the only region;

Fish and Game investigates governance issues

Fish and Game New Zealand has confirmed it is investigating complaints about two regional Fish and Game regional councils.

Fish and Game NZ Chief Executive Martin Taylor says a range of issues relating to governance and potential conflicts of interest have been raised about the Central South Island and Hawkes Bay Fish and Game councils.

“Fish & Game’s national council is working with the Department of Conservation on these matters and the investigations into the two councils.”

Another regional council is presently undergoing an audit.

“The North Canterbury Fish and Game regional council is currently the subject of an audit.

“It is important these processes proceed appropriately and no further comment will be made until these investigations are complete,” says Mr Taylor.

This audit has been a long time in the planning.

There is be enough Media post when they find what has been a "big misappropriation of funds"

It's not just the NC Fish n game that's being audited, CSI is also on the list.

The audit request has come from the Minister of Conservation.

Bloody good to see. I can only go on what iv heard, but sounds like he is a real bad egg. Basically propped in there, to better the interests of farmers, and nothing to do with caring for the fishery and environment. Hopefully his spot is filled with someone decent?

There are 16 people vying for 12 positions.

A few of them are past serving members, and 4 of them should have retired as they are too old and were too weak to stand up to Rooney.
I sat in 3 meetings last year and Rooney dominated the meetings along with his right hand man.

We need lots of new blood in CSI.

So if you want to help, look at the candidates and vote in a new council.

Vote for people who haven't sat full terms in Council before.

Yea at our local club we had one of our local councilors come talk to us, as our club was very vocal in getting some changes to the regs for the new season ahead. He stated himself that we need new blood. The old guard did a great job, but the times they are a changing and we need new people with new ideas to try to control the new impacts to our fishery.
