Yea Dave I reckon your idea has merit! The client was fishing a very large foam cicada he tied himself. Very similar to a Carty's Cicada, so as you said, mostly built out of solid foam material that doesn't allow for any opacity.

I might just try tying up a huge EHC in #8 and even a #6 and head back to that same pool this weekend (if the weather holds) to see how we go? Il report back.
