What a waste... perhaps they should try electrifying the fence!

Baffles me that someone would do such wanton damage to a volunteer, not for profit organisation such as the salmon trust. Hope the police catch them and throw the book at them!!!
Bucking trends in fly fishing since 1970!

Shame on the perpetrators.
The Hatchery needs to install motion detector camera to catch them in the act.

They are probably running the operation on the smell of an oily rag, so camera's and in particular motion detection are probably well outside of scope, unless they can get someone to jump onboard with donations to cover it.

Good point Andy.
Although when you look at how much they have lost now in income..........hmmmm.
Maybe a pack of wild rabid dogs guarding the Salmon would help

CCTV is so cheap these days, I have 5 cameras in/outside my house / garage, all alert me of any movement anywhere in the world and send an instant video clip and the system cost around $400 NZD and is 1080 HD, no excuse for this happening, but in these times of shitbags-everywhere, it's cheap insurance and the number of times this has happened to these guys now?... well...
