North Canterbury rivers- need bit of help

Post by chrisp » Wed Jan 03, 2018 9:16 am

Planning to get ouy for a day on either the Clarence or Waiau near Hanmer and could use some input on which might be best this time of year. I'm thinking of the Waiau near the confluence with the Edwards (biking in via mountaim bime) or the Clarence along the hydro road. Never fished either so either will be a great day out.

Clarence seems to get good reviews in terms of numbers of fish but not sure about the Waiau up that high.

Any info would be appreciated. Feel free to pm if you wouldn't like the info out there for everyone to see.
