They all look good, can't wait to see them with my own eyes.

My fly is my own variety of an old danish fly which is called "wool sock", it's fairly common in Denmark and southern Sweden as well.

Usually I fish it almost unweighted and fairly high in the water column, but due to most NZ rivers being a bit more boisterous than our slow flowing streams, I added the beadhead. I hope it turns out to be able to fool a couple of NZ trout as well :)

Even though it's not exactly a new type of fly, I think it adds some diversity in the modern streamers. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy all the new (and "old") materials, but sometimes it's just great to go back and fish with the basics. Kind of the same thing we do with boo rods etc.

(So we need a dries swap and I'll be doing a good old french partridge :))

Nice work there boys!

Perfect set of flys for me. Big streamers for spey rod in the next few weeks, and the saltwater streamers will get a solid look in whilst I’m in Aitutaki in mid-October.

Love that big articulated fly Rudy. “Release the spey rods” (said in a Mr Burns voice)

Flies arrived today.

A big thank you to everyone involved there is some very nice patterns indeed. Rudy you always tie such great patterns I wish I had you patience. I would hate to know how many hours you put in! I am almost to scared to fish it In case I lose it, or end up wearing it as a head piece!.

Mike Thanks again for running a very good swap. Also thanks for the rod back - I've been having a hell of a time building at the mo. I have blown my shoulder out, a certain taper has been doing my head in, and only building blanks lately. You forget the feeling of a cane rod so it was awesome to set it up before work and have a quick flick out back. If only I had time to christen it myself.... soon.

Cheers guys!
