Named after the brand of beer in the background..
Tail is orange micro krystal flash, rib of fine gold wire, a body of a ginger and tan mixed with a hint of flash, a thorax of pheasant tail icedub and a wing case of DNA holo fusion orange. Sizes 12 - 18. Autumn colours for an autumn fly...

Re: Late Season Fly Swap
I'd be worried! I have seen Jack's flies work instantly on fish I would just put in "the too-hard-basket" and move on!...

Yes it might have to be a toss of a coin decision, Johnno's already setting the bar pretty high from the looks of it!! - Good stuff!

Re: Late Season Fly Swap
Well I managed to use a whole pack of cdc in one evening, but my flies are tied.
It seems like my mass PM may have failed, so when you're ready to send the flies please PM me for my address.
Cheers,
Jack

That's a surprise, I thought Johnno was going to be first...

Re: Late Season Fly Swap
Dispatched today.
Just my go to nymph which, to be honest, works at any time of the year. I will turn to it again when the cicadas go off so, as far as I am concerned, that makes it a late season fly!
Dreamt this up back in 2009 for an earlier fly swap - story and description here. The only difference with this one is that the dubbing is a hare / peacock glister mix.
Feel free to rip some of the dubbing off. Sometimes they work better when they're worn in a bit.
The name I gave it really refers to my tying method. Variations of hook size, bead colour, wire colour and dubbing have taken fish in various locations and at all times of the year.
Since 2009, pretty much every nymph I have tied has been a variation on this theme. However, as I said, this would count as my 'standard' version and has become the starter option in most nymphing situations - even if it's dangling below a weighted bomb tied according to the same method.
I hope someone likes it.
All the best
